CoreAVI announces the development of safety critical OpenGL graphics drivers and complete DO-178C Level A certification evidence for Freescale i.MX 6 series processor built on ARM® architecture
CoreAVI expands its product portfolio to enable embedded display system manufacturers with safety critical graphics support for Freescale’s® very low power i.MX 6 series ARM® Cortex® based processor family. (“CoreAVI”), a Channel One company, today announced the availability of embedded graphics drivers and safety critical certification support for Freescale’s i.MX 6 series single-, dual- and quad-core processor families based on the ARM Cortex-A9. CoreAVI’s OpenGL driver suite is designed to unlock the i.MX 6 series processor’s power-efficient and feature-rich integrated Vivante graphics core processing for real-time and safety critical operating systems.
Freescale’s i.MX 6 series processor provides system manufacturers with an efficient power profile architecture that is ideal for very low-powered and advanced graphics for next generation panel-mount and portable avionics devices, cabin control and instrumentation displays. CoreAVI’s suite of i.MX 6 series OpenGL drivers are aligned with the latest FACE™ (Future Airborne Capability Environment) technical standards and are designed to support a wide range of different symmetric and asymmetric multicore processing configurations and multiple secure partitioned environments. The i.MX 6 series product offering includes the availability of complete RTCA DO-178C / EUROCAE ED-12C Level A safety critical driver certification evidence.
