CoreAVI’s complete Platforms for Safety Critical Applications are DO-254/ED-80/DO-178C/ED-12C safety certifiable to Design Assurance Level (DAL) A, and are aligned with the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACETM) Technical Standards. We work directly with the FAA to review product designs and concepts to ensure that our products attain certification compliance.

This greatly reduces cost, risk, and time to market, eliminating the integration headaches associated when components are sourced from multiple vendors.

CoreAVI’s FACE-aligned products have been selected and successfully deployed by industry-leading avionics and aircraft manufacturers. Our ongoing product development initiatives emphasize the use of open standards to promote the reuse of technology investments across multiple platforms. CoreAVI’s products are developed to industry open standards such as the Khronos Group’s OpenGL® SC and Vulkan® SC. We are passionate about our participation in the advancement of open architectures to deliver state-of-the-art, cost-effective embedded graphics solutions.

CoreAVI is a member of the Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) Consortium and is designing products that employ modular designs with consensus-based, non-proprietary standards.  CoreAVI’s family of products includes single board computers and graphics processing units in the SOSA-aligned Hardware Open Systems Technologies (HOST)-compliant OpenVPX 3U and XMC form factors.  These designs conform to the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) standard DO-254 with certification packages available, including Design Assurance Level (DAL) A. The Intellectual Property associated with these designs is available for licensing and manufacturing by any third party and these products come with integration experience with a variety of Real Time Operating Systems, Board Support Packages, and graphics drivers.

The use of unmanned vehicle systems is expanding, as well as the platforms required to support autonomous systems in transport, logistics, agriculture, law enforcement and a host of other commercial applications. The safety critical functions underpinning these evolving vehicles is just as important as the vehicles themselves.

CoreAVI provides safety critical graphics and compute software for use in unmanned vehicle base stations. Our Vulkan-based libraries allow base station designers to build advanced graphics and compute capabilities into their control systems while preserving reliability and safety.
